ABOUT
About SEA Art Wire
SEA Art Wire is an online press review dedicated to recent reporting on art across Southeast Asia.
It is a project of SAR Museum of Cambodian Modern Art in Siem Reap, Cambodia. The project was created to make fragmented, multilingual coverage easier to discover, while directing readers back to the original publishers.
Geographic scope
The index covers Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines, Brunei and Timor-Leste.
Editorial scope
SEA Art Wire follows visual art, modern and contemporary art, historical art, artists, exhibitions, museums, galleries, biennales, photography, sculpture, painting, public art, art markets, auctions, collections, heritage, archaeology, crafts and design when the subject has a meaningful artistic or cultural dimension.
How it works
The service monitors specialist art media, cultural publications and general news media in many languages. It indexes a title, a short excerpt, a representative image when available, publication details and a direct link to the original article. English translation is offered on demand.
SEA Art Wire does not replace the original publication. Its purpose is discovery, research and visibility for Southeast Asian art.
